Our Story
Some stories don’t begin with a business plan.
They begin with a country and a laugh over a bite of food.
We met in Spain — in a world of late nights, crowded bars, clinking glasses and plates passed from hand to hand. Spain didn’t just give us memories. It shaped who we are.
Laura built her career in law — structured, precise, responsible — but always felt most alive in the kitchen.
Andrew, a Bermudian entrepreneur who once owned a nightclub in Spain, always dreamed that his next venture would be a tapas bar.
Life, of course, had other plans.
We moved to Bermuda with the idea quietly burning in the background. Four years passed. Careers grew. Doubts crept in. Starting from scratch felt risky. Maybe even irresponsible.
But the idea never left.
We missed Spain.
We missed the culture of sharing.
We missed how one bite of Spanish food can change the energy of a table.
Late at night we asked the hard questions:
“Is this crazy?”
“What if it fails?”
And then one day, we asked a different one:
“If not now… when?”
The first dish we perfected was our patatas bravas — bold, confident, unapologetic. Just like the leap we were about to take.
“Brava,” we said.
For bravery.
For bold flavour.
For choosing courage over comfort.
And Brava Tapas was born.
Brava Tapas is not just catering.
It’s risk, nostalgia, it’s a love for Spanish food and culture.
It’s our story — served on a plate.
